Not always the chemical treatments that we use in the garden are helpful for our plants, but there are natural treatments that you can use in order to keep your plants healthy. 

As an example using vinegar is a better solution and has the same function like the chemicals but this time it is not bad for the environment.

  1. Deter cats and pests

Cats and most pets hate the smell of vinegar so if you want to protect your plants and the area around your plants you can easily spray vinegar all around the area so you can keep them away.

  1. Your clay pots will never be dirty again

Many people use clay pots as a better solution for their plants. It simply keeps the soil moist and also doesn’t damage the roots of the plants, but if you don’t clean them properly then they will look bad in your garden. All you need to do is to put the clay pots in 3-4 cups of water mixed with 5% vinegar and leave it for 20-25 minutes.

  1. Repel ants

By spraying vinegar 2-3 times a day on the area of the plants you are keeping the ants away.

  1. Remove weeds

Also by spraying vinegar on your walkways or walls you aren’t giving space soothe weeds can grow.

  1. Enjoy cut flowers longer than usual

To keep the flowers longer in a vase all you need to do is to put 2 tablespoons of vinegar and 1 tablespoon of sugar in the water. Repeat every couple of days.

In a container by choice mix half a cup of apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon of molasses, a cup of water, and a quarter cup of sugar, hang the container on a fruit tree and all the fruit flies will get trapped inside.

Some flowers like rhododendrons, gardenias or azaleas in order to help them grow the solution is to water them with 1 cup of vinegar to a gallon of water.

You can also clean your tools with vinegar by spraying them or dipping them In vinegar.

The solution to prevent the plants from molding is to add 2 tbsp of vinegar to a brewed chamomile tea in a spraying bottle. Spray the plants every day until they are healed.

  1. Kill slugs and snails

White vinegar is also good for keeping the slugs and snails away.
